Stella, our beautiful 9mo baby girl, is our first Rainbow Baby. On December 3, 2023, Chris and I found out we were pregnant. This wasn't really a surprise as we were trying for baby number 2. We were so excited, only to have our hearts crushed 5 days later when I began the process of miscarrying. We were devastated, but less than two months later we conceived the baby we were meant to have, Stella. On October 3rd, 2024, our first Rainbow Baby was born. In April of this year, just after Stella turned 6mo, we very unexpectedly found out we were pregnant again. We had just gotten used to the idea of baby number 3 when, at 9w4d pregnant, we found out that our baby no longer had a heartbeat. We were once again crushed. This time around has been MUCH harder than the last. I was farther along and we had already seen a (what seemed like) healthy baby on an ultrasound. While we are still working through the grief of what happened just last month, we know that one day we will have another Rainbow Baby blessing to be a little sibling to our two amazing girls.
